Our goal of UAF THRIVE is to offer a holistic health program that aims to support the overall well-being of individuals living with HIV. There are four aspects of the program we hope to include:
THRIVE Movement: To provide and help you engage in regular physical activity.
- Walking groups and walking challenges
- Mindful Movement / Stretching class
THRIVE Nutrition: To improve nutrition and cooking skills, knowledge, and self-efficacy.
- Learn about food resources. You can schedule a meeting with our client services coordinator to help you find food resources in your area.
- Cooking classes
- Community garden
THRIVE Community: To provide and address the need for social support and a sense of community.
- Client educational dinners
- Client parties
THRIVE Education: To support ongoing learning and skill development.
